Zombie Review (continued)
Let us continue with Zombie 4: After Death, directed by Claudio Fragrasso, who is mostly known for sequels like Troll 2 and House 5. Admittedly, this movie is better than Zombie 3, somehow the latter failed to evoke nothing but disgust from my part (I am not talking the good kind, either!) and become a hodge podge of pure crap. After Death gives a semblance of actually having a story, I would recommend checking it out, yet be prepared for some lame dialogue and generic 80s non-chart rock. The zombies themselves reminded me of the demons in Lamberto Bava's "Demons", and they were a little scary at times, but those in the Bava film have always creeped me out anyway, so I have a bias I guess. Also known as Zombie Flesh Eaters 3 and various titles, Zombie 4 is your best bet away from Zombi and Zombi 2. As far as I can remember, the movie is set in the Philipinies (or maybe it was shot there, I can't remember!) and there is quite a bit of playdoh used, so buyer beware. All in all, it is good for a laugh (and so is Zombi 3) .
