The End of the Italian Zombie Series

Unless I am mistaken, I believe (and hope) that this is the last of this series, and boy do we end with a clincher. Imagine the following: Vietnam vet comes home, finds his wife in bed with another man, he kills them both; there are birds, many different birds in cages on the porch of the house, and boy do they attack; there is also a blind veterinarian/vietnam vet? played by Robert Vaughn (a low point in his career I figure). Obviously the zombies show up once in a awhile but are not the focus (Zombie 5?), there is no real coherence, the acting is pretty lame, yet it is still more enjoyable than Zombi 3. I have learned many lessons in watching Italian Zombie movies and they are the following:
  • Although the cover make look interesting, visit a movie site for more information before you bring what could seriously harm your patience into your home
  • These directors are very fond of using an alias, so there movies are often difficult to distinguish (especially if they all have Zombie in the title)
  • Leave your expectations of superb filmmaking at the door, these stories are for shock and gore (although some retain a certain social commentary), and the dialogue is more than often compromised.
